Derek McInnes still feels ‘desperation’ and ‘demand’ for trophies

The coming days will bring up the first anniversary of Derek McInnes declining the opportunity to leave Aberdeen and become manager of Rangers. It seemed then that McInnes had hemmed himself into what would be a world of ever-decreasing circles, as the financial revolutions at Ibrox inevitably made them the team with greatest capacity to compete with Celtic for Scottish football honours.
