Shetland is back for a brand new series, with the usual cast of suspects - sorry, actors - set to star.
Returning for its tenth series, the acclaimed BBC murder-mystery drama is shaking things up by setting the new episodes within the fictional village of Lunniswick.
Following the murder of a retired social worker, DI Alison ‘Tosh’ McIntosh and DI Ruth Calder - played by Alison O’Donnell and Ashley Jensen, respectively - travel to the remote hamlet to investigate, where they encounter a host of new characters living within close-knit community. As they begin to unravel exactly what happened, long-buried secrets begin to emerge, with unexpected consequences for everyone - including the team.
With so many new faces being introduced, the Shetland series 10 guest cast includes Greg McHugh, Ellie Haddington and Clive Russell, who is one of several actors playing a new role after a previous appearance on the show.
Speaking about working with the “incredible” actors on board this season, Jensen said: “One of the things I love about this show is the calibre of guest actors we get. This is season ten and we’re still getting huge names to come along.”
She added: “It was also wonderful to work with the next generation of actors who had little or no TV experience. With Shetland, there is no such thing as a small part and I’m always delighted to see new faces on the show.”
Here is the full cast of Shetland Series 10, from regulars to guest stars.

13. Niall MacGregor as Tom Jameson
Scottish actor Niall MacGregor takes on the role of Tom Jameson in Shetland Series 10. Like his father-in-law Arthur Mair, he believes in actions more than words but has been unable to work for 18 months due to a heart condition. Living with his pregnant teen daughter and wife Isobel, he's a complicated character. MacGregor recently appeared in BBC miniseries The Bombing of Pan Am 103, with past roles including Monarch of the Glen, Line of Duty and 24: Live Another Day. | BBC/Silverprint Films/Jamie Simpson

14. Louise Brealey as Isobel Jameson
English actress Louise Brealey - who is perhaps best known for her role in Sherlock - plays Isobel Jameson in the new series of Shetland. Having spent all of her life in Lunniswick, Isobel puts others before herself and firmly believes that once her daughter gives birth all will be well - though her optimism will be tested with tragedy. Audiences may also recognise Brealey from BBC series Such Brave Girls, Netflix's Lockwood & Co, Sky supernatural drama A Discovery of Witches and many, many more. | BBC/Silverprint Films/Jamie Simpson

15. Greg McHugh as Colin Waite
Scottish actor Greg McHugh is likely already familiar to Scottish audiences, with his best known role as the writer and star of Gary Tank Commander. In Shetland series 10 he plays Colin Waite, an "eccentric and peculiar" local who knows everything about everyone in the village. He throws himself into the mystery, and is said to have looked out for the victim when others turned a blind eye. Most recently McHugh has starred in BBC Scotland sitcom Only Child, with appearances in other shows including Two Doors Down, The A Word, A Discovery of Witches, Fresh Meat, Guilt and more. | BBC/Silverprint Films/Jamie Simpson

16. Frances Grey as Gina Powell
Played by Scottish actress Frances Grey, Gina Powell is a guarded and untrusting woman whose life took a turn for the worst when her husband was sent to prison for armed robbery leaving her to raise their son alone. Feeling judged by the locals, she distanced herself from her neighbours earning a reputation for being prickly - something which worsens upon her son's own recent prison stint. Audiences may recognise Grey from shows including Tom Jones, Six Four, Vera and Agatha Christie adaptation Ordeal by Innocence. Like Clive Russell, she previously appeared in an earlier season of Shetland, with her series 10 role something completely new. | BBC/Silverprint Films/Jamie Simpson
