It’s nearly time for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe to take over the theatres, gyms, hotels, streets and pubs of Scotland’s Capital.
Taking place from August 2-26 (although there are previews in the days running up to the official launch), there are over 3,500 shows taking place, from comedy and music, to theatre and spoken word.
In recent years circus has become a bigger part of the Fringe than ever - thanks in no small part to the Underbelly establishing a Circus Hub on the city’s Meadows.
Here are 10 of the most eye-catching circus shows you can enjoy this August.

5. Tweedy’s Massive Circus
For a smaller scale piece of circus fun, guaranteed to entertain all ages, Tweedy the Clown will bring 'Tweedy’s Massive Circus' to Edinburgh audiences for the first time, following his first solo live tour. Expect a show "filled with magic, mirth and mayhem" from the performer who spent more than 15 years with Giffords Circus. He's on at Underbelly’s Circus Hub on the Meadows from August 3-21. | Contributed

6. Afrique en Cirque
Another jaw-dropping show that will grace the salubrious setting of the Assembly Hall's Main Hall is 'Afrique en Cirque'. It combines gravity-defying acrobatics with the artistry of African culture to give the audience a glimpse at daily life in Guinea. It's running from August 1-26. | Contributed

7. No Dragon No Lion
'No Dragon No Lion' is a vibrant journey through Asia utilising beat-boxing, martial arts, tricks and parkour. It comes to C Aurora straight from Hong Kong from July 31-August 25.
