After Aberdeen’s crucial win over Rangers on Wednesday opened up a nine point gap between the sides, Jimmy Thelin’s Dons have firmly cemented themselves as Scottish Premiership title contenders.
With nine wins from their opening 10 games, the Pittodrie outfit are only being kept off top spot on goal difference, with Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic ahead thanks to their superior goal difference.
While the top two face off in the semi-final of the Premier Sports Cup this weekend, the attention will soon turn back to the league with Celtic travelling to Kilmarnock, and Aberdeen hosting Dundee next weekend.
