It is now less than a week until the highly anticipated new Scottish Premiership season gets underway as fans get ready for another nine months of excitement, intrigue and madness all over again.
With Rangers and Celtic set to face off for the title, Hearts, Kilmarnock and St Mirren aiming to build on impressive campaigns and Ross County, Dundee United and St Johnstone looking to steer clear of the drop zone, clubs in the Scottish top tier have been carefully building their squads over the summer transfer window.
It has been an interesting window too, with former Barcelona talents, an England under-21 international goalkeeper, a Euro 2024 star and an ex-Liverpool academy star all involved within Scotland’s summer transfer business - but which names have captured the attention the most?
Here are the 14 most intriguing Scottish Premiership transfers this summer.

5. Sivert Heltne Nilsen - Aberdeen
New Dons head coach Jimmy Thelin wasted little time in replacing Connor Barron when he rekindled his relationship with this imposing Norwegian midfielder. The former Brann captain will add experience and talent to the Aberdeen engine room and is seen as a pivotal addition by their new Swedish boss. | SNS Group

6. Shaun Rooney - St Mirren
The defender is back in Scotland after a two season spell with Fleetwood Town in EFL League One. Won a cup double with St Johnstone before his move south. Was relegated during a hallenging spell with the Cod Army last year and saw him work under three different managers - so will be interesting to see how he does in Paisley. | SNS Group

7. Ronan Hale - Ross County
The Belfast born forward enjoyed two goal-laden seasons with Cliftonville before he was prized away by the Staggies in the summer. Hale has left Ross County fans in no doubt about his goal scoring ability either, scoring three goals in his first two games at Dingwall. | Contributed Photo: Contributed

8. Kasper Schmeichel - Celtic
A shrewd signing by Celtic this summer, Schmeichel may be 37-years-old, but he is still one of the highest rated goalkeepers in European football. Capped over 100 times by Denmark, he offers the Hoops further title winning experience and has worked under Brendan Rodgers before. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group
