Between them, Celtic and Rangers have won 23 Scottish Premiership titles, 17 Scottish Cups, 18 League Cups and both have made the final of the UEFA Cup since the turn of the century - as well as Rangers’ recent run to the Europa League final.
Yes, there’s been some dark days for both Old Firm sides in the past 24 years but also the abundance of quality, talent and skill that have walked in and out of the doors is almost unprecedented. Both sides of the divide have their favourites - but which players would make the ultimate Old Firm XI?
What do you think is the best combined Old Firm starting XI since the turn of the century? Do you agree with our picks?

9. CF: Henrik Larsson
The greatest Old Firm striker of the 21st century? It is hard to argue against that with 242 Celtic goals to his name. He twice won SPFA Players' Player of the Year and was included in the Euro 2004 team of the tournament. He won eight trophies during his time at Celtic before moving on to Manchester United and latterly Barcelona, where he played a major role in their UEFA Champions League success of 2006. | SNS Group 0141 221 3602 Photo: SNS Group

10. CF: Kris Boyd
The more you consider his inclusion in this team, the more it makes sense. The Scotland striker once scored five goals in a 7-1 win over Dundee United and has a Rangers goal tally of 167. There may have been more classier and more popular forwards but Boyd offered you 25+ goals every single season in a Rangers shirt. He's got to be in here. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

11. CF: Chris Sutton
Sutton and Boyd as part of a front three? It would certainly be entertaining! Sutton's record at Celtic can't be argued like Larsson and his fellow pundit Boyd, he deserves his place in this starting XI with his 86 goals for Celtic. A real on-pitch leader, the Sky Sports man completes our front three. | SNS Group 0141 221 3602

12. Sub: Michael Mols
Mols was an outstanding goal-scoring talent who deserves his spot on the bench in this team. Had it not been for knee injury, he may have scored more than he did for the club and made the starting XI of ultimate Old Firm team. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images
