How to watch Celtic v Kilmarnock
Celtic will look to kick on following their midweek victory in Europe when they host Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.
A thrilling 3-2 win over Besiktas at Celtic Park on Thursday finally earned Martin O’Neill’s side their first points in the Europa League after three successive defeats by Ferencvaros, Benfica and Celta Viga.
The triumph over the Turkish giants provided the Hoops with a much-needed boost after the 2-0 defeat by Falkirk last weekend, which left O’Neill under pressure following a run of just three victories in 10 matches.
Celtic were four points clear at the top of the table heading into the weekend, but have played a game more than Rangers, who were hoping to close the gap to one point when they faced St Mirren on Saturday night.
Kilmarnock have struggled to keep the ball out of their net so far this season with 28 goals conceded in 12 games the worst defensive record in the division by some distance. As a result, Neil McCann’s side have collected only nine points from a possible 36 and sit 11th in the table, one point ahead of bottom club Hibs who have a game in hand.
The Ayrshire club are winless in 22 visits to Celtic in all competitions since a 2-0 league victory in October 2012.
Interestingly, no side has won more points from losing positions in the Premiership this season than Celtic (7), while no team has lost more from winning positions than Kilmarnock (7).
