All the transfer deadline day news as it happened across the Scottish Premiership and beyond

It was a busy transfer deadline day across Scottish football – here’s how it all played out:

Scottish transfer deadline day

Kent still in limbo

Former Rangers winger Ryan Kent has had a rough time of things at Fenerbahce since moving to Istanbul last summer. A loan move to Lazio looked on the cards, but reports coming out of Turkey suggest that deal has now gone cold.

Van Veen in for the Kil

Do we have white smoke on Kevin van Veen's future? There has been speculation all day that the maverick Dutchman might be about to return to Scottish football ... and the reports now claim that he will join Kilmarnock on loan from Groningen.

Rangers defender comes in at Well

Young Rangers full-back Adam Devine has joined Motherwell on loan for the rest of the season. The 20-year-old bolsters the Steelmen's defensive options and manager Stuart Kettlewell hopes to add more players before the deadline.

Johnston leaves Celtic

Some info from Celtic - winger Mikey Johnston has been loaned to West Brom. He will have tumbled down the pecking order after Nicolas Kuhn's arrival and Liel Abada's return to fitness.

Hearts say this evening that no more business is anticipated. That means star striker Lawrence Shankland is expected to remain at Tynecastle for the rest of the season, which is a huge boost to manager Steven Naismith. Hearts have reinforced during this window, with Dexter Lembikisa and Scott Fraser joining on loan and new contracts for Alan Forrest and Craig Halkett.

And all done at Aberdeen too

It looks like the Dons are set for a quiet evening. After all, they did hog the headlines earlier in the week with a managerial change. There was some late interest in midfielder Connor Barron and forward Duk, but that was knocked on the head. Keeping star striker Bojan Miovski is perhaps the biggest success story given he was sought-after at the start of the window.

Staggies add another

Ross County have been pretty busy this window under Derek Adams and they've added a right-back this evening. Michee Efete, a 26-year-old defender most recently of Grimsby, has joined until the end of the season.

Rangers announce Cortes

Right then, it's starting to heat up as we enter the red zone of the transfer window. Rangers have confirmed the signing of Lens winger Oscar Cortes until the end of the season. Rangers have an option to buy the Colombian at the end of the season. “Oscar is really enthusiastic about our aims and ambitions as a team, and his skillset will provide welcome competition to our forward line,” said manager Philippe Clement.

Potential Hibs exit

We're into the final 90 minutes of the transfer window and there could be some very late movement at Hibs after Swindon Town expressed an interest in taking Harry McKirdy back to the County Ground. The striker is just back to fitness after heart surgery.

As widely expected, Celtic have completed the loan signing of Adam Idah on form Norwich City. The 22-year-old Irishman will add to the defending champions options in attack. Idah said: “It’s such a huge club with such a big history behind it and I can’t even put into words what it’s like to be at Celtic."
