With the Scottish domestic season fast approaching, Glasgow giants Rangers and Celtic have already started to build their squads for the upcoming 24/25 campaign.
Gers boss Philippe Clement has brought in a number of new faces, while long-serving stars such as Ryan Jack, Borna Barisic and Kemar Roofe have been shown the door at Ibrox with their contracts coming to an end. At Celtic, Brendan Rodgers is in the market for a new goalkeeper, while permanent deals for Adam Idah and Paulo Bernardo are high on his agenda.
As ever, the free agent market will play a pivotal role in the transfer window for many clubs this summer, with bargain buys and free transfers available the globe over. But how many of those free agents are made up of former Rangers or Celtic stars?
Here are 10 ex-Old Firm players available for free and searching for new clubs this summer.

5. Jason Holt
The 31-year-old former Rangers and Hearts midfielder was part of the squad that helped the Gers return to the top flight in 2016. Spent the last few seasons with David Martindale's Livingston, but is now out of contract and on the lookout for a new club. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

6. Brandon Barker
A Scottish Premiership title winner with Rangers in 2021, Barker failed to reproduce the form he showed at Hibs that saw the Ibrox club first move to sign him. Now 27, the midfielder was extremely highly rated during his teenage years at the Manchester City academy, but is without a club after failing to make an impact at EFL League Two club Morecambe last year, where he played just two league games. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

7. Jordan Rossiter
A former Liverpool academy player of the year, Rossiter was tipped to go to the very top of the game. Brought to Rangers on a pre-contract in 2016, the midfielder spent four years at Ibrox but was dogged by injuries and featured just 10 times in the Scottish Premiership. Has been with Bristol Rovers in EFL League One for the past two seasons, but was released this summer after featuring just four times for the Gas. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

8. Dapo Mebude
Tipped for a bright future during his years at the Ibrox academy, Mebude has been capped at various youth levels by Scotland and saw his style of play likened to Raheem Sterling. Sadly, following failed loan spells at AFC Wimbledon and Queen of the South, he released by the club in 2021. Involved in a horror car crash which left him fighting for his life just six months ago, the 22-year-old is now thankfully on the mend and has most recently been spotted on trial with Livingston after being released by Belgian outfit Oostende. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images
