Celtic team news vs Atalanta: 5 out and 2 doubts for Champions League clash but Rodgers set for major boost

Here is all the latest team news ahead of Atalanta v Celtic in the Champions League this Wednesday.

Celtic are back in UEFA Champions League action this week as they travel to Italy to face Serie A outfit Atalanta at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo (kick off: 8pm).

Fresh from a pulsating 2-2 draw with Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership, Brendan Rodgers’ side will be looking to kick start their European campaign after the 7-1 hammering they took from Borussia Dortmund in their previous Champions League clash.

The visiting Bhoys are currently sat in 20th place in the League Path on three points, though their hosts occupy 11th place after defeating Shakhtar Donetsk 3-0 in their last Champions League outing.

In total, up to seven players could be missing for the clash in Bergamo, with hosts Atalanta having a number of injuries issues. Here, The Scotsman looks at both sides injury doubts ahead of the game:
