While Celtic’s position at the top of the league isn’t unexpected, few could have predicted that Jimmy Thelin’s Aberdeen would go on their own unbeaten run and be the team that has kept pace with the three-time champions, with Rangers languishing six points behind both in third place.
Dundee United’s excellent summer recruitment sees them occupy fourth spot, while the Edinburgh duo of Hibs and Hearts have struggled in the opening throes of the campaign and prop up the league table as we approach November.
Much of each team’s success - or struggles - has come from their summer recruitment, but which players have proven to be the most impressive acquisitions so far this season?
We look at popular football statistics website FotMob to discover which Scottish Premiership summer signings have proven the most valuable.
