Joyce Kirkland: Body recovered from shoreline in search for missing woman

A body has been recovered from the shoreline during the search for missing 72-year-old Joyce Kirkland.

A statement from the Police Scotland confirmed: “Around 2.30pm on Wednesday, 31 March, the body of a woman was recovered from the shoreline near Balmae, near Kirkcudbright

“Formal identification has still to take place.

Body recovered from shoreline in search for missing woman Joyce Kirkland.

"The family of Joyce Kirkland (72), missing from her home in Kirkcudbright since 12 March, has been informed.”

Joyce Kirkland was last seen around 10pm on Friday, March 12, within a house on Buchanan Street, Kirkcudbright.
