Nobody was injured in the incident, though a window in the property was damaged.

Detective Sergeant Lisa MacDonald of Shettleston Police Station said: “I believe that this was a targeted attack, carried out at night to intimidate the occupants of the house.

“This type of behaviour is completely reckless and will not be tolerated. Thankfully no one was injured during this incident, however there were two adults and two young children, aged two and six, in the house at the time.

"Additional police patrols will be present in the area to provide public reassurance as we work to trace those responsible.

“I would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or anyone who has information at all to please come forward and speak to officers as a matter of urgency.

"I would also ask anyone driving in the area of Green Street on Tuesday evening around the time of the shooting with dash-cam footage to come forward.

“Anyone with any detail should contact officers through 101 quoting reference 3338 of 23 February. Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
