Police hunt duo after two men attacked in their own home in Fife

Two men have been assaulted in their own home in Kirkcaldy.

Police have launched an investigation after the incident happened in Allen Court around 5:30am.

Two men entered the house and attacked them with a weapon.

Detective Inspector Chris Dow of Kirkcaldy CID said : “The victims were within their home address when two men entered, and assaulted them.

“It is understood a weapon was used, but fortunately it did not result in the victims suffering any serious injuries.

“We are keen to trace the two men who are described as being under six foot tall.”

He said they were treating it as an isolated incident.

DI Dow added: “The area would have been relatively quiet at the time and we are appealing to anyone saw anything suspicious to come forward. I would also appeal to anyone with CCTV, or who was driving in the area with dash cam footage to contact police.”
