Overseas buyers rush for whisky-themed craft beer

The beers have been produced under a tie-up between the Craft Beer Clan of Scotland – set up in 2014 by wholesaler JW Filshill to promote Scottish craft beers – and brewer Williams Brothers of Alloa.
They have been aged in barrels from four whisky regions – Speyside, Highland, Lowland and Islay – and orders have already been placed by customers in China, Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore.

Some 80 per cent of the first batch of beers produced will be exported to overseas markets.
