Capita boss standing down after 26 years’ service

Outsourcing group Capita today said that chief executive Paul Pindar is to retire at the end of February after 26 years with the company.

Pindar, who has run the business since 1999, will be replaced by his deputy, Andy Parker, who joined Capita in 2001 and became joint chief operating officer two years ago.

Capita chairman Martin Bolland said Pindar, who is leaving to seek opportunities in the private equity sector, had led the company through an “exceptional” period of growth.

Parker will be replaced as joint chief operating officer on 1 January by Dawn Marriott-Sims, who is currently executive director of Capita’s workplace services division.
