The Download Festival returns to Donington Park, in Derby, for three days of rock from this Friday, June 14.
It’s the 21st time the feast of music has been held, with the main stage headlined by Fall Out Boy, Avenged Sevenfold and Queens of the Stone Age.
Meanwhile, those topping the bill on the smaller stages include Busted, Pantera, Funeral for a Friend and Machine Head.
But there are a huge number of other bands packed lower down on the bill, making scheduling a bit of a headache.
To help you out, we’re taking a look at our must-see bands - including some you may not have heard of yet.
Here are our 12 picks, from old favourites to soon-to-be new favourites.

9. Corey Taylor
A simple one this. If you aren't going to see Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor play the Opus Stage, just before stage headliners Machine Head, then we're not sure why you're at Download. His second solo album, CMF2, was one of the best of 2023. | Getty Images

10. Limp Bizkit
Calling nu-metal pioneers Limp Bizkit divisive is akin to calling the sea wet, but there's no doubt that there will be a huge audience for Fred Durst's band - who have plenty of huge songs for the occasion. They play just before Apex Stage headliners Avenged Sevenfold on the Sunday. | Getty Images

11. Calva Louise
London fuzz rock trio Calva Louise are one of the picks of the festival for the tiny Dogtooth Stage, which they play on the Sunday. A terrific live band, they should undoubtedly be more successful than they are - just ahve a listen to Over The Threshold, their third album released last year. | Contributed

12. Code Orange
If any band have earned their place on the main Apex Stage at Download - they play second up on Sunday - it's Code Orange. They have released five albums of immaculate metalcore since 2012 debut Love Is Love/Return to Dust, recorded under the name Code Orange Kids. They're twice Grammy nominated - for Best Metal Performance in 2018 and 2021. | Getty Images for NARAS
