Clydesdale horse joins Montrose care home residents for Remembrance service
Residents at a care home in Montrose were joined by an unusual guest at their annual Remembrance service - a Clydesdale horse.

Maggie May, from Rolling Thunder Clydesdales, attended the service at Fordmill care home on Wednesday, November 4, accompanied by her owners Amanda, Shonagh and Maggie.
After joining residents and staff in paying their respects, the horse toured the home, visiting residents in their rooms and posing for photographs.

Resident Marion Simpson said: “It was such a beautiful service and just perfect. We must remember them.”
Fellow resident Annette Burden welcomed the visit, saying: “It was a beautiful touch having the horse. I love the smell of horses, it reminds me of growing up. And she was really a beauty.”
Fordmill deputy manager Lisa Harwood said the service was an important opportunity for residents, staff and the wider community to come together.
She added that residents had personal memories of the events being commemorated and that it was important to recognise their place in history.
