- But when exactly can you tune in on Netflix?
After nearly a decade Stranger Things is about to release its final episode. The much-anticipated conclusion is finally set to land on Netflix.
Fans have faced some agonising waits between episodes during the last season. It has been split into three parts - but the grand finale is almost here.
But when exactly can you find out how it all ends? Here’s all you need to know:
What time does Stranger Things' last episode come out?
Netflix has split the final season of its mega-blockbuster into three parts. The first half came out on November 26/27, with three more episodes following on Christmas Day in America and Boxing Day in the UK.
Unlike the usual releases on the streaming platform, Stranger Things has been coming out at prime time in the United States. It means that viewers in Britain and Europe have to wait a bit longer to see the new episodes.
The grand finale of the Netflix show - ‘The Rightside Up’ - is due to be released today (New Year’s Eve) in America. But due to time zone differences, it will not be available until tomorrow (New Year’s Day) in the UK.
Stranger Thing’s last episode will be released at 5pm PT/ 8pm ET on December 31 in North America, which is 1am British time on January 1.
How long is the Stranger Things season 5 finale?
In a rare move, Netflix is set to release the last ever episode of its iconic blockbuster sci-fi series in cinemas - in the US and Canada at least. Unfortunately, viewers in the UK look set to miss out on the opportunity to see it on the big screen.
The cinema listing showed the runtime for the finale at over two and a half hours, however, that does include credits and previews. Netflix has since confirmed that the last ever episode will have a runtime of 2 hours 5 minutes - making it the second longest in the show’s history.
Stranger Things’ season four conclusion ‘The Piggyback’ remains the longest at two hours 22 minutes.
See which characters are predicted to be the most at risk in Stranger Things season 5. Plus, learn how long the series finale will be!
