Oasis Edinburgh support: The Verve's Richard Ashcroft confirmed as Oasis support act
Oasis have announced that Richard Ashcroft, the former frontman of The Verve, will support the band during their 2025 tour, including their three Edinburgh dates.
Liam and Noel Gallagher are set to kick off their long anticipated reunion tour next July, with Ashcroft set to join the brothers during all of their UK and Ireland shows.

Hide AdPerhaps best known for writing the hit song Bittersweet Symphony, Ashcroft is the first Oasis support act to be announced.
Crediting the brothers for inspiring some of his best work, he shared that he was “buzzing” to hear about the band’s return.
He said: “As a fan from day one I was buzzing for many reasons when the news of Oasis’s return was announced. I can say with no exaggeration that the songwriting talent of Noel and Liam’s pure spirit as a lead singer helped to inspire me to create some of my best work.
“It was the perfection of ‘Live Forever’ that forced me to try and write my own. They dared to be great, made the dreams we had real and I will always remember those days with joy.

As part of their upcoming tour, Oasis will perform three nights at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium in August next year with support from Richard Ashcroft.
Oasis will kick off their reunion tour in Cardiff next July, with dates in London, Dublin and their hometown of Manchester, with fellow Britpop band Cast also rumoured to join the tour as support.
Following their UK and Ireland shows, Oasis will then embark on the North American leg of their tour before heading to Australia.
