Theatre review: Rapture
This London spin on Cyrano De Bergerac concerns a gifted lyricist who persuades her friend to rap on her behalf for fear of upsetting her devout parents and touches on the contrasting pressures on Muslim girls and boys as they cast about for a vehicle to express themselves.

There is a laudable message about understanding and a challenge to clichéd perceptions at the heart of this show but most of the young cast are not ready for the stage, mumbling or tripping over their words, even as they proclaim a need to be heard.
