Six Nations 2020: when and how to watch Italy v Scotland and all other games this weekend

As we approach the midway point in the 2020 Six Nations, Scotland will have the chance to keep put themselves comfortably above last place slot by consigning Italy to it.

That match, as well as all the rest of the action from the third round of the competition, will be broadcast live this weekend.

Here’s everything you need to know about round three of the 2020 Six Nations.

Who is playing this weekend?

- Sat 22 Feb: Italy v Scotland, Stadio Olimpico, ITV, 2.15pm

- Sat 22 Feb: Wales v France, Principlaity Stadium, BBC, 4.45pm

- Sun 23 Feb: England v Ireland, Twickenham, ITV, 3pm

The first game of round three will see the tournaments two wooden spoon favourites scrapping it out to stay off the bottom. Italy and Scotland have both lost their opening two games, although the two points Scotland acquired along the way have been enough to keep them out of last place so far.

Next up, reigning champions Wales will take on this year’s current leaders France in a match that could go a long way to deciding the fate of the 2020 tournament. Having been bested by Ireland last time around, Wales will need to be at their best here to remain in the running.

Then, on Sunday, England will host Ireland at Twickenham. The Irish have won both games so far and - having already beaten last year’s Grand Slammers - will be full of confidence. England has made more of a stuttering start and will need to move up a gear, fast.

When does the Six Nations end?

The 2020 Six Nations runs between Saturday 1 February and Saturday 14 March 2020.

As ever, it features each of the six teams (Scotland, England, Ireland, Wales, France and Italy) playing every other team once.

Most weeks will see the games divided between Saturday and Sunday, except for the final round, during which all three matches will take place on the Saturday - known as ‘Super Saturday’.

How can I watch it?

Every single match of the Six Nations will be broadcast live on television. This year, the TV rights to the tournament have been split between the BBC and ITV.

They have been divided up based on where the games are being played, so all of England, Ireland and Italy’s home matches will be shown live on ITV, while Scotland, France and Wales’ will be over on the BBC.
