Gregor Townsend names Scotland team to face England in Six Nations opener

Scotland have named their team to face England in Saturday's Six Nations clash at Twickenham.

Head coach Gregor Townsend has picked Cameron Redpath to make his debut for the Scots.

The Bath player, who previously represented England at under-20 level, will start at inside centre.

Redpath, who was born in France, decided to commit his international future to Scotland.

He was named in the full England squad to tour South Africa in 2018 but had to pull out due to injury.

The son of former Scotland captain Bryan Redpath, he will partner Chris Harris in the centre against England.

Elsewhere, hooker George Turner will make his Six Nations bow, with the uncapped Dave Cherry on the bench as back-up.
