Last year saw world number one Jannik Sinner win his first title, preventing Carlos Alcaraz taking home the men’s singles title for a third consecutive year by beating the Spaniard in four sets in the final.

Meanwhile Iga Swiatek beat Amanda Anisimova in the women’s singles final to become the first Polish Wimbledon singles champion in the open era.

They’re both back to defend their titles, along with Novak Djokovic, who will be looking to add a record 25th grand slam trophy to his groaning mantelpiece.

Today’s Centre Court schedule is awash with second round singles highlights, starting with defending champion Iga Swiatek playing Czech player Karolina Pliskova in the women’s singles.

That’s followed by men’s singles action with Matteo Berrettini taking on Arthur Fils, before women’s number two seed Elena Rybakina plays America’s Caty McNally.

The stellar lineup has attracted a host of famous faces to the Championship.
