Highland: Murray stuns Formartine

IAN Murray reckons a title triumph for Buckie Thistle this season would be an even greater achievement than ending their 52-year wait for the crown last season.

The 34-year-old, who netted with a stunning lob from just inside his own half in a 3-0 win at Formartine, said: "Buckie had a tremendous season last year and we want to try and win the title again. It won't be easy, though, because everyone is out to beat the champions. We have already noticed teams have been trying that bit harder against us since the start of the season.''

Buckie took the lead a minute after the re-start, through Murray. It was 2-0 four minutes later as Craig MacMillan netted, and he completed the scoring after 65 minutes. The win took Buckie into second place, a point behind leaders Inverurie Locos.
