The former Motherwell and Aberdeen midfielder will team up with boss Colin Calderwood immediately after a deal was reached between Hibs and the Highland side.

The 35-year-old was the mastermind behind County's elimination of Hibs in the Scottish Cup last season, a competition which saw the Staggies reach the final. This season, however, County have languished towards the bottom of the table.

Adams' woes have been heightened by a touchline ban stretching for 18 matches, handed to him after confrontations with officials.
