WE EXTEND our congratulations to our neighbours from across the bridge for winning the First Division title and securing a place in next season’s SPL.

The prospect of the return of Highland derbies is one to savour and is very much being looked forward to. On current form these derbies will be difficult to call and there’ll be no such thing as home advantage.

As we enter the final phase of the season it would be good to see us put in some great performances and for players to stake their claims for places next season. Our points return against the current sides in the bottom six has been very poor so there’s an incentive there to put that right. We aren’t mathematically safe from the drop yet so, hopefully, Saturday’s games will result in us not having to look over our shoulders anymore – we need the Highland derby.
