The transfer window is closed and following a busy summer of activity it is time to have another look at which players have the highest transfer value in Scottish Premiership.
It no surprise that Celtic and Rangers dominate the list, with only one non-Old Firm player included among the top 22 most valuable players in the country.
There are some new additions to the list, while one player who previously topped the rankings, Celtic’s Matt O’Riley, has now departed following a £26million move to Brighton.
That means there is a new name at the top of the pile, with Celtic making up most of the top 10.
Here is who the top 22 most valuable players in Scotland are right now, ranked from lowest to highest, according to data used by transfermarkt.com.

17. Alistair Johnston - £7.2m
The Canadian has been a stand-out for Celtic since his £3m move from Montreal in the MLS. His stock has risen considerably and if he keeps up his performance levels his value could go even higher. | SNS Group

18. Callum McGregor - £7.2m
The Celtic captain is among the most valuable players in Scotland in terms of transfer value, but don't expect the Hoops to be cashing in. McGregor will almost certainly see out his playing career at Parkhead. | SNS Group

19. Arne Engels - £7.6m
Celtic went over value when splashing out a club record £11m fee to sign the Belgium international from Augsburg on transfer deadline day but given his potential he could be worth much more in the years to come. | SNS Group

20. Reo Hatate - £8.4m
The third highest ranked player on the list, some may value the Japanese midfielder even higher. Still, this represents a healthy increase on the £1.4m fee Celtic paid to sign him from Kawasaki Frontale. | Getty Images
