This Scottish Premiership season has been one of the most exhilarating in recent memory, and there’s still no end in sight when it comes to drama at the top end of the table.
Hearts, Rangers and Celtic are all locked in the most fierce title battle for decades, with Derek McInnes’ Jambos currently leading by just a single point heading into the final games of the season.
Just behind them, Motherwell are having one of their best seasons in many moons, Hibs can still secure a European spot, and newly promoted Falkirk have made a mockery of the pre-season predictions that had them scrambling at the bottom half of the table by securing a top-half spot.
The season has also introduced us to a number of new heroes, with several players stepping up to the plate for their respective sides. But who have been the standouts in a season to remember?
Here are the 10 players we think will battle it out to be included among the four nominees for the Scottish Premiership player of the season award for 2025-2026:

1. Cammy Devlin - Hearts
The Australian has had an outstanding season and has driven Hearts' title charge from the midfield. Statistically, he has made more defensive contributions than any other midfielder in the league. He is not just a destroyer, though, with 86.9% of his passes made accurately throughout the season. A leading candidate for the award. | SNS Group

2. Elijah Just - Motherwell
Plucked from AC Horsens last summer, few had heard of him upon his arrival at Fir Park, but it didn't take him long to make an impression. A key cog in Jens Berthel Askou's frontline, the creative playmaker has 14 goal contributions this season and has created 41 chances for Motherwell. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

3. Jack Butland - Rangers
It has been a rollercoaster campaign for Rangers this season, but Butland has remained consistent throughout. Conceding just 28 goals, the former England international has 12 clean sheets for the campaign and has saved all four penalties he has faced this season, and has prevented a total of 7.68 goals. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

4. Benjamin Nygren - Celtic
The Swedish international has been one of the signings of the season, with his goals almost single-handedly keeping Celtic in the title race at times. Costing just £1.2million in the summer, Nygren has scored 17 league goals, but has also created 51 chances for his team, which is more than 90% of other midfielders in the division. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group
