This Scottish Premiership season has been one of the most exhilarating in recent memory, and there’s still no end in sight when it comes to drama at the top end of the table.
Hearts, Rangers and Celtic are all locked in the most fierce title battle for decades, with Derek McInnes’ Jambos currently leading by just a single point heading into the final games of the season.
Just behind them, Motherwell are having one of their best seasons in many moons, Hibs can still secure a European spot, and newly promoted Falkirk have made a mockery of the pre-season predictions that had them scrambling at the bottom half of the table by securing a top-half spot.
The season has also introduced us to a number of new heroes, with several players stepping up to the plate for their respective sides. But who have been the standouts in a season to remember?
Here are the 10 players we think will battle it out to be included among the four nominees for the Scottish Premiership player of the season award for 2025-2026:

5. Claudio Braga - Hearts
A revelation for Hearts, the Portuguese fan favourite is one of the leading favourites to win the award after scoring 13 goals in his debut season at Tynecastle. He offers more than just a goal-scoring threat, though. Braga creates more chances than 89% of other strikers in the division. A classy operator who cost the Jambos a measly £400,000. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

6. Calvin Miller - Falkirk
The winger has been instrumental in Falkirk successful transition to the Scottish Premiership and subsequent top half finish, with 13 goal contributions. The 28-year-old has shown great adaptability, playing on both wings and occasionally in a central attacking midfield role. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

7. Tawanda Maswanhise - Motherwell
The Zimbabwean international has been prolific in his second season at Fir Park. The league's joint top goal-scorer with 17, despite having an xG of just 12.74 for the campaign, he has been consistent and clinical throughout the entire season. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

8. Craig Halkett - Hearts
The Hearts centre-back's form has been almost faultless for this season, and one of the main reasons they currently lead the Premiership. Won more aerial duels than 98% of other centre-backs, and chipped in with four league goals at the other end of the pitch. Colossal. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group
