Four arrested and one injured after Rangers fans invade Kilmarnock pitch and damage disabled viewing area

Rangers fans who invaded the field of play celebrating a late match-winning goal destroyed the roof covering disabled fans, injuring one man.

A pitch invasion from the away fans followed Connor Goldson's 91st-minute header which secured a 2-1 victory for Rangers over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park. TV footage showed at least three fans climbing on to the disabled fans' shelter, which collapsed as the jubilant fans jumped up and down following the winning goal.Following the game, Police Scotland revealed that four men were arrested on suspicion of breach of the peace, while one man was injured and needed treatment following the collapse of the roof during the stoppage-time celebrations.

The arrests are not understood to relate to the pitch invasion.
