Rangers send another young talent out on loan as Scotland youth cap moves to League Two

Rangers have allowed another youngster to pick up senior football experience in League Two with Brechin City.

Following on from the agreement sending Northern Ireland youth international Chris McKee to join the Glebe Park for the remainder of the shortened 2020-21 League Two campaign, Harris O’Connor is also making the same move.

The Scotland youth cap played against Michael Paton’s side last year in a closed doors friendly for Brian Gilmour and Kevin Thomson’s B team.

Rangers defeated the Angus side that day but City boss Paton saw a future in the former Kilmarnock and Charlton defender and said: "Harris is another player who impressed us in a closed door friendly.

"He is a young, composed defender who reads the game very well and is willing to put his head in where it hurts. It's another great addition to the squad and we are delighted he is now on board.”
