Niemi, Finland's goalkeeping coach, believes he is already on the radar of many clubs.

Rangers are doing well, looks like they are going to win the league and Glen is one of their biggest players, he could play pretty much anywhere at the moment,” Niemi said in an interview with CoffeeFriend.co.uk.

"If he was surrounded by world class players he wouldn’t look out of place at all.

“Could he play at a higher level? Could he play in a more demanding league? Could he play in a team that could win things in top five leagues in Europe? My answer is yes.

“We’ve had some big games. Played against France, Poland, Greece, Bosnia and he has always been one of the best players on the pitch for us.

“His name is definitely on a lot of lists around Europe at the moment.”

Kamara arrived at Rangers via Dundee having been brought through the Arsenal academy and has been central to the Ibrox side's dominance in the Scottish Premiership.

Niemi was sure of the player's talent from an early age.

“I would like to think I have some sort of eye for talent," he said. “I thought immediately this guy is going to be really, really good. He’s going to be a big player for Finland and he’s going to have a big future ahead of him.

“He got his footballing DNA at Arsenal and you can see that when he’s playing. When he gets the ball he’s not in a hurry, he just makes things happen. His body language and balance looks smooth.

“Glen is a great guy as well. I’ve seen so many young footballers who think that because they are decent footballers they are something special. But Glen is really down to earth.

"A real pleasure to work alongside with the national team.”
