Rangers’ squad has undergone some serious surgery over the past 12 months, with the Ibrox club seeing a serious turnover of players since Andrew Cavenagh’s takeover last summer.
Cyriel Dessers, Joe Rothwell and Hamza Igamane have all departed for pastures new during the transfer window. Despite this, neither Russell Martin nor current head coach Danny Rohl has been able to change the club's fortunes this season, with their title dreams were extinguished by a 3-1 defeat to Celtic on Sunday.
Youngsters such as Findlay Curtis and Lyall Cameron have gone out to gain valuable experience on loan, while flops such as Danilo, Ben Davies and Kieran Dowell all moved on to pastures new at different stages of the campaign.
Here we look at the 22 Rangers players who moved away from the club before the start of the new campaign, and assess how they have done for their new teams in the first half of the season. Who has found success away from Ibrox - and who regrets their decision to leave?

13. Vaclav Cerny - Besiktas
A popular figure at Rangers after joining on loan from Wolfsburg last season, a permanent move to Ibrox didn't materialise, and Cerny joined Besiktas permanently in pre-season. His strong form has continued in the Turkish top flight, with Cerny scoring four and assisting a further eight, with his new side currently occupying fourth place as the season comes to a close. | Getty Images

14. Jefte - Palmeiras
The young Brazilian was inconsistent in his debut season at Rangers and made a swift return to his homeland for a reported £6million. The 22-year-old played 13 times in the 2025 season as his new side finished second in the Brazilian top flight. He's been a regular in the current too, with Palmeiras topping the league, having won 10 of their first 14 games. | Getty Images

15. Rabbi Matondo - SK Brann
The Welsh international had his contract cancelled in March so he could make a move to SK Brann. The pacey winger hasn't been able to make much of an impression yet, though, having seen just nine minutes of action in Bergen. | Getty Images

16. Oscar Cortes - Huracan (loan)
Originally signing a loan deal with Spanish second-tier outfit Sporting Gijon, the Colombian winger struggled for regular game time. After having his loan deal terminated, Cortes returned to South America on a similar deal, where he has featured more regularly. He has five goal contributions for Huracan, who sit in seventh in the Argentine Primera Division. | Getty Images
