Rangers’ squad has undergone some serious surgery over the past 12 months, with the Ibrox club seeing a serious turnover of players since Andrew Cavenagh’s takeover last summer.
Cyriel Dessers, Joe Rothwell and Hamza Igamane have all departed for pastures new during the transfer window. Despite this, neither Russell Martin nor current head coach Danny Rohl has been able to change the club's fortunes this season, with their title dreams were extinguished by a 3-1 defeat to Celtic on Sunday.
Youngsters such as Findlay Curtis and Lyall Cameron have gone out to gain valuable experience on loan, while flops such as Danilo, Ben Davies and Kieran Dowell all moved on to pastures new at different stages of the campaign.
Here we look at the 22 Rangers players who moved away from the club before the start of the new campaign, and assess how they have done for their new teams in the first half of the season. Who has found success away from Ibrox - and who regrets their decision to leave?

1. Clinton Nsiala - Westerlo (loan)
The French centre-back has started just three games in Belgium, and was sent off after just 30 minutes in a 0-0 draw with Union Saint-Gilloise. Nsiala hasn't seen a minute of action since, occupying an unused substitute role at the Het Kuipje. | Belga/AFP via Getty Images

2. Leon Balogun - Aris Limassol
The veteran defender departed Rangers for a second time upon the expiry of his contract and linked up with former defensive teammate Connor Goldson in Cyprus. Despite being 37, Balogun has started 19 of his side's 33 games in the league. A strong start to the campaign saw them go top, but Aris have fallen to a disappointing sixth place in the Cypriot First Division. | Getty Images

3. Cole McKinnon - Airdrieonians
The Academy graduate agreed a deal with the Championship side upon his departure from Rangers, and has had a positive season for the Diamonds, with eight goal contributions. He couldn't stop the team from finishing in the relegation playoffs, though, and they'll be relying on him to help them keep their heads above water in the coming days. | Getty Images

4. Danilo - NEC Nijmegen (loan)
Returned to the Eredivisie in February after struggling to break into the Rangers starting XI this term. Largely used as a substitute at NEC Nijmegen, he's scored just one moving to the Goffertstadion. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images
