Rangers’ squad has undergone some serious surgery over the past 12 months, with the Ibrox club seeing a serious turnover of players since Andrew Cavenagh’s takeover last summer.
Cyriel Dessers, Joe Rothwell and Hamza Igamane have all departed for pastures new during the transfer window. Despite this, neither Russell Martin nor current head coach Danny Rohl has been able to change the club's fortunes this season, with their title dreams were extinguished by a 3-1 defeat to Celtic on Sunday.
Youngsters such as Findlay Curtis and Lyall Cameron have gone out to gain valuable experience on loan, while flops such as Danilo, Ben Davies and Kieran Dowell all moved on to pastures new at different stages of the campaign.
Here we look at the 22 Rangers players who moved away from the club before the start of the new campaign, and assess how they have done for their new teams in the first half of the season. Who has found success away from Ibrox - and who regrets their decision to leave?

5. Ben Davies - Oxford United (loan)
A major flop at Rangers after his £4million move from Liverpool in the summer of 2022, Davies won the third division title with Birmingham City last season in record-breaking fashion, only for the Blues to opt against making his deal permanent. Signing a loan with Oxford instead in the English second-tier, he struggled for regular game time as the side was relegated from the EFL Championship, starting just seven of the side's 46 league games. | Getty Images

6. Robbie Fraser - Dunfermline Athletic
The 23-year-old has flourished under the tutelage of Neil Lennon and has been a regular starter in a side that has made the Championship playoffs and Scottish Cup final, where they'll face Celtic later this month at Hampden. 7. Ianis Hagi - Alanyaspor
Another who departed Ibrox upon the expiry of his contract, Hagi moved to the Turkish top flight with Alanyaspor and has featured in 28 matches across all competitions. The 26-year-old has scored five goals for his new club, though he won't be at the World Cup this summer after Romania lost to Turkiye in the playoff semi-finals. | Getty Images

8. Joe Rothwell - Sheffield United
Sent off for a reckless challenge on his debut for the Blades, Rothwell has endured a difficult and inconsistent start at Bramall Lane, starting just four league games since his arrival in January. Largely used as a substitute in a team that finished 13th in the EFL Championship, he has a year left to run on his deal with Sheffield United this season. | Getty Images
