Mark Brown signs Ross County deal

ROSS County goalkeeper Mark Brown has signed a new contract with the club after impressing during his brief playing stint last season.

The 32-year-old’s three-month run in the side came to an end in February when he fractured his hand.

After signing from Hibs on a one-year deal last summer, Brown made his debut in the League Cup defeat by Raith Rovers in August but did not displace Michael Fraser until the tail end of November.

Brown spent just under five years at Highland rivals Inverness before moving to Celtic in January 2007.

Ross County have not specified the length of the deal.

Staggies manager Derek Adams said: “The Club and Mark have agreed to extend his contract.

“Mark is recovering well from injury and will be able to start pre-season training with the rest of the squad on Thursday the 27th of June.”
