Magners mark anniversary of Celtic's green & white hoops

Shirt sponsors Magners have marked the 113th anniversary of the first time Celtic wore their iconic green and white hooped shirts with a commemorative GIF.

The Irish cider brand tweeted out the graphic, which interchanged a selection of Celtic jerseys from throughout the years.

With it they wrote: “On this day in 1903 @CelticFC played in the iconic green and white hoops for the very 1st time. #IfYouKnowTheHistory”

Typically, when it got to the shirts sponsored by a rival alcoholic brand, the graphics were edited, as ‘Celtic’ replaced ‘Carling’.

Magners have been sponsoring Celtic since 2013. This past summer they changed from having their logo on the front of the shirts to the back, with betting company Dafabet taking over as the main sponsors.
