57 - Ukraine almost in

Normal service for the second half resume and the visitors see a shot slide just wode of the far post. A third would have sunk Scotland’s hopes for sure.

John McGinn enters the book for a slide challenge. It looks like a 50-50 after the midfielder’s poor touch and both he and Stepanenko slide in but McGinn is ruled to have fouled the Ukrainian and enters the referee’s book.

Andy Robertson has been Scotland’s pressing wing-back in the first half and Aaron Hickey delivers a great ball into the box after a burst forward. It only needed a touch from Adams but couldn’t reach Christie and Bushchan gathers.

That’s Scotland’s first shot on target. Ryan Christie has a go, saved by the Ukrainian keeper - but the one-two with Che Adams included an offside pass to the Southampton striker.

Half an hour for Scotland to salvage something and force extra-time or else Ukraine are heading to Cardiff for a shot at Qatar.

Ryan Christie feeds Scott McTominay. Clipped cross is slapped by thye goalkeeper straight to John McGinn and somehow - right in front of the net - he heads wide Unbelievable chance. Heading for the corner of the net and he sends the chance wide.

ON - Jack Hendry, Stuart Armstrong

OFF - Billy Gilmour, Liam Cooper

The goalkeeper is not comfortable with the ball at his feet, with the crosses into the box. Keep putting the pressure on, the chances will come and we only need one.

70 - Ukraine on the break

Craig Gordon to the rescue again.

A twisting, turning run forward from Tsygankov - his final act of the game - forces a low save from Craig Gordon after a Ukrainian breakaway.

75 - Big save Bushchman

Che Adams forces a good save from the Ukraine goalkeeper with a powerful drive, well saved but the ball breaks to John McGinn whose shot is deflected over the bar for a Scotland corner.

The ball’s over the line!

Is Scotland’s comeback on?!
