IT WAS absolutely vital to pick up three points on Saturday as other results for teams chasing Europe went for us.

We are now very much back in the hunt and the games against St Johnstone and Dundee United after the split will be key.

The first 45 minutes against Dunfermline were up there with the worst half of football I have seen this season, but whatever Sergio said at half-time must have worked as we looked a different team in the second half. Gary Glen averages around one goal a season, so it was something of a shock when the ball hit the net, but when the second went in you couldn’t see a way back for the Pars.

We now move on to the Scottish Cup semi-final, where we are very much the underdogs, but hopefully with some of our injured players back we will be able to keep it tight and nick a goal.
