Changing Room Chat: Craig Gordon’s save is on best-ever list

SCOTLAND internationalist Craig Gordon has been shortlisted for the best ever save award in English Premier League history.

The Sunderland goalkeeper’s sensational point-blank block to deny Bolton’s Zat Knight during the Black Cat’s 1-0 victory in December 2010 has been nominated for the “Best Save” in the Premier League’s 20 Seasons Awards.

To commemorate two decades since the top flight’s formation, 11 awards are being handed out, including Best Goal, Match, Manager and Team.
