'You ask me all these negative questions': Neil Lennon bites back in BBC interview after latest Celtic frustration

Neil Lennon became irritated with “negative questions” being asked of him in a post-match interview with the BBC after watching his Celtic side drop points again in the Scottish Premiership.

The Scottish Premiership champions had to settle for a draw after Mohamed Elyounoussi cancelled out Chris Kane’s opener for St Johnstone on Sunday afternoon.

The result leaves Lennon’s side 13 points behind rivals Rangers, albeit with two games in hand, as supporter frustration grows with the under-performing manager and the club’s board.

Celtic haven’t won any of their previous five matches at home, including losing their domestic dominance with last weekend’s Betfred Cup exit to Ross County.

Despite this, Lennon remains defiant that he is the right man for the job and didn’t take too kindly to being asked by report Kheredine Idessane if he had any fear that he was about to get the sack.

Lennon said: "I don't fear anything. You ask me all these negative questions Kheradine and about my job.

"The club have already came out this week and said that they've backed me. I mean what more do you want them to do? I agree, the results aren't good enough.

"It will improve, I've no question of that. Whether it's on me or not then we'll have to wait and see. But I can't answer the questions that you're asking."

Once again supporters protested outside of the ground after the game with a video showing supporters storming and throwing objects at the team bus as it tried to leave the ground.
