Celtic have endured a rollercoaster 12 months, but with two games left in the Scottish Premiership season they still have an opportunity to win the title despite some serious turmoil.
Nicolas Kuhn, Adam Idah and Greg Taylor all departed for pastures new during the summer window as former head coach Brendan Rodgers looked to freshen up his team, though the Northern Irish boss didn’t last long into the season, resigning in October before being replaced by Wilfried Nancy, who was sacked after just 33 days in charge. In between, 74-year-old Martin O’Neill has led the team on an interim basis.
Youngsters such as Josh Clarke and Francis Turley have gone out to gain valuable experience on loan, while flops such as Shin Yamada, Odim Thiago Holm and Hayato Inamura all moved on to pastures new at different stages of the campaign.
Here we look at the 22 Celtic players who moved away from the club before the start of the new campaign, and assess how they have done for their new teams in the first half of the season. Who has found success away from Parkhead - and who regrets their decision to leave?

1. Shin Yamada - Preußen Munster (loan)
The Japanese striker struggled at Celtic after joining the club for £1.5million in the summer, and opted to move to the German second tier in order to get more regular first-team football. Yamada has scored three goals in his last four games, but was unable to stop Preußen Munster from being relegated. He's set to return to Celtic in the summer. | Getty Images

2. Matthew Anderson - Kortrijk
The Celtic academy graduate took the brave decision to depart the club in the summer in order to move to the Belgian second tier for regular senior football, and it has paid off for him. Kortrijk has officially secured promotion back to the Belgian Pro League for the upcoming 2026/27 season by securing a second-place finish, with Anderson playing a major role, scoring twice and assisting another six times. | BELGA MAG/AFP via Getty Images

3. Adam Idah - Swansea City
The Republic of Ireland striker was unable to replicate the form that convinced Celtic to make his loan move permanent two summers ago, and cut their losses by allowing him to sign for Swansea for a reported fee of £6million. Much of Idah's season was ruined by a hamstring injury, which kept him sidelined for three months. However, he ended the season with a respectable six goals from his 23 appearances, of which only six were starts. | Getty Images

4. Odin Thiago Holm - Valerenga (loan)
A forgotten man at Celtic, the Norwegian midfielder spent a season on loan in the MLS with Los Angeles FC, but barely featured. He returned to his homeland in January and has appeared off the bench in recent weeks as he rebuilds his match fitness. Still just 23, he'll stay on loan at Valerenga until next January. | Getty Images
