Dubravka lifts lid on Celtic interest
Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka has spoken on speculation linking him with a move to Celtic - and revealed that the Parkhead club had interest in his services previously. The Slovakian said: "I am aware that there are rumours, teammates ask me about it, agents and people call me, if there is any truth to it. There was some truth in that a year ago and you see, I stayed at Newcastle, so I still take it as if there is no official offer on the table, then I absolutely do not deal. I told my agents that if it was concrete and there was an offer, then only then would I consider it. At the moment, it is only in the stage of some noises."

Genk make their move
Belgian club Genk have officially tabled a bid to Celtic for their striker Oh Hyeon-gyu, according to Sky Sports. The offer is believed to be in the region of £4million for the 23-year-old South Korean internationalist, who struggled for regular game-time under current Parkhead boss Brendan Rodgers. Should Celtic sell Oh, they are likely to reinvest the fee in trying to sign Adam Idah, who on loan for the second half of the season from Norwich City,
Rangers linked with Adjei
Rangers continue their hunt for another central defender and Hammarby's Nathaniel Adjei is the latest name to be linked with Ibrox outfit. Adjei, 21, spent last season on loan at Lorient from the Swedes and the Ghanaian is said to be value around £3.5m. Anderlecht, Feyenoord and Reims are also credited with an interest in Adjei and on the possibility of a departure, Hammarby chief executive Mikael Hjelmberg said: "It's no secret that Adjei had an option to buy while he was in France, and he has done well in France. So we'll see what happens."

Hibs ‘don’t have lots of money’
Raith Rovers manager Ian Murray - who was linked with the recent vacancy at Hibs - says that new Easter Road boss David Gray will not have as much money to spend as is being mooted. Hibs recently received a sizeable investment after billionaire American Bill Foley bought shares and Murray said: "Hibs obviously need a massive rebuild job, they really do. It's not black and white and they don't have as much money as people think. So David's got a really hard job on his hands. I wish him all the best in doing that, getting them back into that top half of the table and doing well. Was I flattered to have been linked with the job? I don't go overboard on these things. Hibs will pick who they want to pick. I keep my head down and work for the club that I'm working for. I'm enjoying doing what I'm doing at Raith, I really enjoy building a football club and I think that's what we're doing."
McDermott leaves Hibs
Staying at Easter Road, Brian McDermott will depart Hibs at the end of June upon the expiry of his contract, the club has announced. The 63-year-old former Reading manager was appointed director of football at Easter Road in May 2023 and oversaw Hibs’ football operation, with a specific focus on recruitment. However, McDermott’s position appeared to be placed in doubt when Malky Mackay was hired as sporting director last month, at the end of a grim season for the Edinburgh club in which they sacked two managers and finished eighth in the cinch Premiership. “There have been obvious consequences from that outcome," revealed McDermott. "What I will say is it was never from lack of effort and desire. Sometimes in life and football things do not work out. The only thing to be done is get up and go again."
