'It's irresponsible lunacy': Celtic fans react to news of Odsonne Edouard's positive Covid-19 test
The 22-year-old had joined up with his team-mates for a France under-21 game when his diagnosis was revealed. Celtic are currently enquiring with the Scottish Government as to whether he will be available to face Rangers on October 17.
Regardless, it is not welcome news for the player, his club and the Celtic supporters. Here’s what they had to say after the news was confirmed by the Parkhead side:

@rosietoal: "Stay well French Eddy - affectionately known in our household as Freddy. Good Health - physical and mental - really is all that matters.”
@John21126284: “Get well soon bigman.”
@anditomkinson: "And he is fine/asymptomatic? This is the detail that matters, not a positive test result.”
@PeterMcDade: Good luck to Eddy, this is a terrible thing to happen to a young guy. Hopefully he comes through it quickly and unscathed.”

@McNallyMirror: "Sad to hear of Edouard's positive Covid test & I wish him a speedy recovery. But I fear it's only the start of the pandemic's second wave creating chaos not just in sport but right across society. It's irresponsible lunacy to send players around the world at this dangerous time.”
@Sean61397857: "Get well soon Eddy. Can’t help but think he must have caught this virus in Scotland? Therefore it’s highly possible we see some more positive tests within the next week? Hope not mind you.”
@Seannyho: "Very interesting if we can salvage him for the game, pretty challenging situation.”

@TheTweetofShaun: "Is he available for the 17th?”
@_RH88_: "If he misses the Rangers game then Klimala and Ajeti start. Griffiths should only start if Ajeti isn’t fit but other than that no way should he get his first start of the season in that game especially after that disastrous effort against them last season.”
