Celtic give update on rest of squad following Odsonne Edouard's positive Covid-19 test

Celtic have confirmed that striker Odsonne Edouard has tested positive for Covid-19, and that he is the only player in their squad to have the virus.

Celtic have issued an update after Odsonne Edouard's positive Covid-19 test.

Edouard is currently on international duty with the France Under-21 squad and tested positive on Tuesday morning.

His participation for the clash with Rangers on Saturday, October 17 is now in doubt, with the former PSG man now having to self-isolate for at least ten days.

However, as of Wednesday night, he was the only Celtic player to return a positive test.

A statement from Celtic read: “We can confirm that Odsonne Edouard has tested positive for Covid-19 while on international duty with France U-21.

“As it stands, no other Celtic FC player has returned a positive test.

“Our thorough testing programme will continue and we will continue to follow all protocols.”

Edouard, who played for Celtic last Sunday against St Johnstone, will definitely miss France U-21s’ two scheduled matches against Liechtenstein and Slovakia this week.
