Butcher adds fresh meat to playing squad

Inverness have agreed deals with three new players including former Real Madrid goalkeeper Antonio Reguero.

Teenage striker Jason Oswell and right-back David Raven have also agreed moves to the Highland club before the start of pre-season training on Friday.

Boss Terry Butcher said: “They’ve all agreed to sign and the trio will be challenging for a first team place from day one.

“Their arrival is a timely boost and we are in advanced negotiations with a view to adding another couple of new recruits next week.”

Reguero, 29, came through the youth set-up at the Spanish giants from 1994 to 2002, before graduating to the first team squad.

A serious knee injury hampered his progress at the Bernabeu and spells with Villareal, Orihuela, Alicante and Gandia followed before making the move to the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.

Oswell, 19, was previously with Crewe Alexandra, while 27-year-old Raven had a spell at Liverpool, during which time he captained the reserve team.
