DP World Tour winner Scott Jamieson arrives home to 'Little Scotland' in Florida
Local golf course had erected congratulatory sign for 42-year-old’s arrival in Ponte Vedra Beach
A street in Florida was turned into a ‘Little Scotland’ over the weekend as Scott Jamieson returned to a warm welcome from friends and family following his Nexo Championship win on home soil.
Glaswegian Jamieson now lives in Ponte Vedra Beach near TPC Sawgrass with his American wife Natalie and their three children - Zoe, Oscar and Max.
As Jamieson returned to winning ways on the DP World Tour by ending a near 14-year wait for a second title triumph with his victory a week past Sunday at Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeenshire, they were all on the other side of the Atlantic.

The 42-year-old then stuck with his plan to play in the Husqvarna British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo at the Belfry, where he missed the cut as it was eventually determined at 4pm on Saturday following weather delays.
That allowed Jamieson to jump on the first available flight back to the US and he arrived home on Sunday to a nice surprise.
‘Fun afternoon to mark incredible victory’
“We had a fun afternoon welcoming our friend and neighbour Scott Jamieson home from Europe, fresh off his incredible victory in Scotland last weekend,” wrote Brian Lunsford in a post on Facebook.
“After picking Scott up from the airport, his wife, Natalie, brought him home to quite the welcome: the kids had lined the street with Scottish flags, while neighbours gathered outside waving flags and cheering his return, all with Scottish music playing in the background.

“Our neighbourhood golf course even created a special congratulatory sign that now greets everyone as they enter the neighborhood. Love seeing our street and community come together to make this a memorable homecoming for Scott and his family.”
Having decided to sit out this week’s Omega European Masters in Switzerland, Jamieson will be back on this side of the Atlantic to compete in next week’s Amgen Irish Open at Doonbeg before teeing up in the BMW PGA Championship, the DP World Tour’s flagship event, at Wentworth the following week.
