Dundee crash: Pedestrian in hospital with serious injuries after BMW crash

Police are appealing for information following a serious crash involving a pedestrian and car in Dundee.

A pedestrian is in hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Dundee.

Emergency services were called to a collision between a grey BMW and a 45-year-old man on Old Glamis Road just after 1pm on Wednesday, May 7.

The pedestrian was taken to Ninewells Hospital with what have been described as serious injuries. The driver of the vehicle, a 39-year-old man, was not injured.

The road was closed until 10pm to allow for investigations to take place. Police are now calling on any potential witnesses to come forward.

​Sergeant Brian McEwan, road traffic policing, said: “Our enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.

“I am appealing for anyone who saw the crash who hasn’t already spoken to officers to get in touch.

“I would also ask anyone who was in the area at the time and may have dash-cam footage which could assist to contact us.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 1592 of May 7.
