A man suffered face and neck injuries during a serious assault in a supermarket car park.
The 23-year-old was attacked at around 3pm on Tuesday at the entrance to Lidl’s car park in the Lang Stracht area of Aberdeen.
He was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Police Scotland has appealed for witnesses to come forward.
Pc Tom Bashforth said: “The area would have been busy with people shopping in the supermarket plus road users on the Lang Stracht.
“If you were in the area around the time and saw this incident or noticed anything unusual in the area yesterday afternoon please phone Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 2227 of August 7.”
